• Government-issued identification documents such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving Licence, and PAN Card submitted during the Swabhiman Scheme enrollment process
• Photographs and selfies for identity verification purposes
• Bank account details or UPI information for rental payments and earnings disbursement
• References and emergency contact details provided voluntarily

B. Information Collected Automatically

• IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system when you visit our website
• Pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs via analytics tools
• GPS and telematics data from our Fleet Management System (FMS) installed in EVolte vehicles, including real-time location, speed, route history, and vehicle health metrics
• WhatsApp communication data when you contact us via our business WhatsApp number

2 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To process and manage driver enrollment under the Swabhiman Lease-to-Own Scheme
• To verify your identity and conduct background checks as part of our onboarding process
• To manage lease agreements, daily rental collection, and vehicle assignments
• To monitor vehicle performance, location, and driver behavior through our Fleet Management System
• To communicate with you about your lease, payments, maintenance schedules, and scheme updates
• To respond to your queries, complaints, or feedback submitted via our website, WhatsApp, or email
• To send informational and promotional communications about EVolte services (you may opt out at any time)
• To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal obligations in India
• To improve our platform, services, and driver support programs
• To conduct analytics and generate aggregate, anonymized reports on fleet performance and environmental impact

3 Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operations such as background verification agencies, vehicle telematics providers, payment processors, and cloud hosting services. These parties are bound by confidentiality obligations and are not permitted to use your data for any other purpose.
• Legal Authorities: When required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of EVolte, our drivers, passengers, or the public.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on our website before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
• With Your Consent: We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit prior consent.

4 Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations.

• Driver enrollment and KYC documents are retained for the duration of the lease agreement and for a minimum of 5 years thereafter as required by applicable Indian law
• Vehicle telematics data (GPS, trip records) is retained for a period of 2 years from the date of collection
• Website analytics data is retained for a maximum of 26 months in line with standard analytics platform policies
• Communication records (emails, WhatsApp messages) are retained for 3 years from the date of the last interaction

Once the retention period expires, we securely delete or anonymize your information so that it can no longer be associated with you.
